Ash Wednesday is February 14th

Yes, it’s the same day as Valentine’s Day!  But they are not unrelated.  Ash Wednesday is the day we begin our 40 day journey toward Easter, when we celebrate the victory of love over death.  Ash Wednesday reminds us that we are mortal, and to use our time well. In the words of Henri Frederic-Amiel,

“Life is short. We don’t have much time to gladden the hearts of those who walk this way with us. So, be swift to love and make haste to be kind.

Lent is a time to draw near to God, to remind yourself frequently of God’s love and presence in your life, and to renew your faith as you live as God’s beloved.  Valentine’s Day celebrates romantic love, but Lent and Easter celebrate the greatest love of all:  God’s love.

SERVICES AT 7am, 12pm and 7pm.
