Holy Week and Easter Worship

MAUNDY THURSDAY Supper & Liturgy

April 13,   6pm

We gather for a simple meal after which we move to the church to act out the memory of the Last Supper with Scripture, foot washing and Eucharist. The evening concludes with stripping the altar bare and keeping watch.

GOOD FRIDAY

April 14, 12 pm

The Liturgy of the Day follows an ancient pattern of silence, the Passion narrative from John’s gospel, solemn prayers, the veneration of the cross and communion (reserved from Maundy Thursday). It’s powerful.

GREAT VIGIL OF EASTER

April 16, 5:30 am

Fire + Water + Dramatic Readings +

First Eucharist of Easter

At the intersection of night and day, death and life, we await the dawn of Easter and the first proclamation that Christ is risen! Attending is so very worth it. Breakfast follows at 7:30.

EASTER DAY

April 16, 10 am, 5pm

Festival Eucharist

Music + Flowers + Joy

Our long week concludes with the astounding good news of Christ’s resurrection. Alleluia!

We are sent out to serve the world with joy. But not before the Easter egg hunt!
