Holy Week and Easter Worship

March 25,   8 am & 10 am

Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem and his radical teachings set in motion the events leading to his death.  Through the Palm Sunday liturgy, we relive the last week of his life.

MAUNDY THURSDAY Supper & Liturgy

March 29,   6pm

We gather for a simple meal after which we move to the church to act out the memory of the Last Supper with Scripture, foot washing and Eucharist. The evening concludes with stripping the altar bare and keeping watch.

March 30, 12 pm

The Liturgy of the Day follows an ancient pattern of silence, the Passion narrative from John’s gospel, solemn prayers, the veneration of the cross and communion (reserved from Maundy Thursday). It’s powerful.

March 31, 8:30 am

Silence + waiting + mystery

This is a moment of stillness at the heart of the pascal mystery.  Death is real, but through the mercy of God, death will give way to life.  We gather for a short contemplative service on this morning, in this time of transition.

Music + Flowers + Joy

Our long week concludes with the astounding good news of Christ’s resurrection. Alleluia!

We are sent out to serve the world with joy. But not before the Easter egg hunt!
