“Our Selves, Our Stories:
Being Gay in the Church.”
Thursday, September 26th at 5 p.m.
Please join us at the LBBTQ Center in Kingston, and hear stories by gay people and friends of gays as they talk about their experiences as church members. Eight people will read their 800-word essays (which take about 8 minutes to read), followed by group discussion and refreshments.
The Hudson Valley LGBTQ Community Center is located at 300 Wall Street (the corner of Wall and John Streets) in Kingston’s Stockade District.
Speakers include the Rt. Rev. Mary Glasspool, Assistant Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of New York, and clergy and lay members of churches in the Mid-Hudson region. Sponsored by Christ the King Episcopal Church, Stone Ridge.
