Christian Formation For All Ages–Starts September 15th!

  • For Preschoolers:  The Godly Play approach helps children explore their faith through story, to gain religious language and to enhance their innate sense of God through wonder and play. For children ages 3-5.  Led by Beth Vargas and Tess Hartman.  10am

  • Elementary school children (1st-5th grade): We use the Episcopal Children’s Curriculum which uses storytelling, discussion, and a variety of activities to teach about the Christian faith and the practice of worship, prayer, loving service and the pursuit of peace and justice. Led by Susan Philiber, Suzanne Miedema, Adrianne Theetge and others.  10am. 

 

  • Youth (6th grade and up): We use the Youth Emmaus curriculum which helps young people ages 11-16 come to grips with the basics of the Christian faith.  Led by John Domitrovitz, Cathy Kreibich, Jim Rahm and others.  9am.

  • For Adults–Lectionary Bible Study–meets monthly on the first Saturday of the month, 8am-10am.  Led by the Rev. Alison Quin.  We will reflect on upcoming lectionary texts and listen for God’s word to us.

  • For Adults–Education For Ministry (EFM).  Every baptized person is called to ministry.  The EFM program provided people with the education to carry out that ministry.  Weekly seminars include discussion, guided reflection, prayer, worship in a small group setting.  The program is a wonderful way to grow spiritually.  Participants sign up for one year at a time, for this four year course of study that includes Old and New Testaments, Church History and Theology.  Cost is $350 for each academic year, but scholarships are available.  Please speak to one of the clergy.  Wednesday mornings.  Led by Pam Hoveling.  Click  here for  more info:
